Contrast Advert to Coke in representation of women...

This advert of a Pantene product represents women in a negative manner - contrast to the coke advert..

This is an over-the-shoulder shot taken from a low angle to clearly frame the boss’ posture. The man in the coat is leading or instructing the young man .The setting is of a posh work-place. The embedded words in the background say that the society labels him a respectable Boss.

This is of the same setting and features as the previous shot but the boss is replaced with a women. She looks neat and decently dressed and has a confident attitude. She is obviously instructing a man. But the society says that the woman is bossy and gains people’s attention by showing-off.

This picture of two mid-shots, depict a man and a woman working over-night. Their tired looks on their faces tell us that they both strain themselves to work all night.
But the shadows on the walls, which are referred to as labels the society tags them with, tells us more. The man is seen as a dedicated and hard-working person when the woman is seen selfish and as a person who does not spend time with family.

The mid-shot or two-man shot show the man and woman who are washing their faces. But the world sees the man like he is refreshing after a tiresome day and keeping him neat; and the woman like a self-obsessed and a person boasting of her beauty. The creative thought of showing the words as condensed droplets in the mirror makes it look natural.

The mid-shots show them in a stage setting from a low angle to capture the audience in the frame. Both are trying to give an inspiring speech, an official maybe, guessing from their dressing and stage. The man’s speech is termed (by the words in the podium) convincing and powerful while the woman’s is termed over-confident or over-assertive.

The location of this scene is at a zebra-crossing on a road. The shot is captured taken from a higher angle to capture the words amidst the stripes of the crossing. The man is putting his coat on when he departs, which the ad says is ‘smooth’ and the woman takes her coat off while return, which the ad says is a ‘show-off’. The same coloured coat is used to make no difference in their activities.
